Essex girl on paper, Tower Hamlets girl at heart!

Okay, so it got pretty hectic again and finding the time to write became a chore in itself. But I had to write something about this. Perhaps it may not be such a big deal for those of you who've done it so many times you'd consider yourself a nomad. And as much as I love the idea of being one myself, I'm afraid I'm one of those who like to have a base station.

So, after 7 weddings, countless nieces and nephews, numerous laughs and tears and 20 years of memories later, I've moved homes. Yeah, alright not a huge deal because I'm still at home with my parents, but us Bangladeshis thrive on exaggeration and even as I'm saying this I'm exaggerating!

What can I say, it was emotional, saying goodbye to a huge chapter in your life, along with some of the dearest neighbours and acquaintances, but the need for space, and the liberty from extortionate service charges became paramount. Alas, it had to be done.

However, I shall not despair; the picture of sitting in the garden on a nice summer's day with a book in my hand, a cuppa beside me keeps the nostalgia at bay... for now! But if there's one thing I now know is that moving is ridiculously laborius, an absolute pain in the a**, and it really attacks your fashion sense. I've not had access to my shoes and most of my clothes for almost a month and this was probably apparent for those of you who've had the misfortune of seeing me on such days - I sincerely apologise.

So, I've gone from being in inner London surrounded by the bustling of the city, with everything within very convenient distance, to the calm and almost sequestered skirts of Essex - dear lord does that make me an Essex girl? Have mercy!

Right, it kind of sounds like a bit of a rant, and I guess I'm not completely jumping for joy because now it means I have to sacrifice sleep if I want to get anywhere on time. Nonetheless, it is yet another new beginning, not just for me but my entire family, the whole 50 member of it and I know we will make more wonderful and marvellous moments together.

Until I post again.

P.S. While everyone was welling up, I just had to re-create that scene from the last episode of Friends.
